Caught in the Net / Ray Cooney

Mask Productions present this comic play about bigamist taxi-driver John Smith, who keeps both his families happy and blissfully unaware of each other. However, his teenage children, one girl and one boy by each wife, have met on the Internet and are determined to see each other in person. The ever-spiralling situation gets increasingly out-of-hand as John tries desperately to keep them apart. This fast moving, high energy play, the sequel to hugely successful play ‘Run for your Wife’, features many familiar faces from RTÉ’s Fair City.

ArtMart

In conjuction with our other new initiatives included in this brimming summer season, we introduce ArtMart. ArtMart is a unique project that challenges ideas of buying art, consumerism and trade. It also challenges the concept of ‘what is art’; is it a painting or drawing; has it to be by a famous artist and is it for me? Art is not always obvious; it is not always expensive or exclusive, it is however for everyone. This new venture at Solstice presents the opportunity for you to procure art in ways beyond your imagination

Walking the Road /Dermot Bolger

Solstice Arts Centre presents in association with Meath Arts Office, The Francis Ledwidge Museum and Axis-Ballymun Theatre.

Walking the Road is a play loosely based on the life of Irish poet Francis Ledwidge. Lance Corporal Ledwidge lost his life in Flanders Fields, 1917 while serving with the British army in WWI. Leaving the familiarity of his Co. Meath home, he joined the British army. This new play follows Ledwidge on his final journey, as he finds himself once again walking the road to his home in Slane, alongside the ghosts of all of those who touched his life. Walking The Road marks the 90th anniversary of the 3rd Battle of Ypres, Beligum in 1917.
Admission: €18, €16 concession / Book Tickets
