Esbjorn Svensson RIP

At the weekend,  acclaimed jazz musician Esbjorn Svennson died in a diving accident in Norway.  In March 2007, the Esbjorn Svennson Trio or EST as they were better known played Solstice to great critical acclaim and launched our international jazz programme here at the centre. May he rest in peace.

To celebrate its 80th birthday, the Gate Theatre is embarking on a unique national tour, which will see its acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot play for one night only in 40 venues, throughout the 32 counties of Ireland. The tour, which will also mark the 20th anniversary of this legendary production, will star members of the original cast including Stephen Brennan, Barry McGovern, Johnny Murphy and Alan Stanford.
