Opportunity for Artists & Photographers

Mon 15 Feb 2010

Calling all artists & photographers in Meath

We have a great opportunity coming up which we would love you to help spread the word about.

National Dance Company Wales are touring Ireland in a couple of weeks, with a performance in Navan in Solstice Arts Centre.

NCDW are opening up their rehearsals to visual artists completely free when they have also purchased a ticket to the performance.

This ticket price is at the reduced Participation Ticket rate of only €10.

The rehearsal time for Solstice is 2.30 - 5.30 Thursday 4 March, with performance 8pm on 4th March

NCDW are keen to ensure that individuals with varied interests in the arts are given the opportunity to engage with the work of our professional company dancers. We are happy to welcome keen artists and photographers who are coming to the show to observe our company classes and rehearsals. This is a fantastic opportunity to sketch or photography our world-class company dancers in movement as they work hard to rehearse their pieces in preparation for the evening performance.

The sessions are open on a drop in basis (you don’t have to stay the full 3 hours), but please be aware that the dancers are under pressure for the performance that evening, so limited coming and going is preferred.

If you would like any more information, contact the participation team (Megan and Kate) at National Dance Company Wales on +0044 2920 635 612 or alternatively contact Aine Kiernan in Solstice on 046 909 2300 or email: aine.kiernan@solsticeartscentre.ie
